Welcome to Iyengar Yoga Devon.

Yoga is union of body, mind and soul. Through a series of exercises (asanas) and breathing techniques (pranayamas) it brings vitality, flexibility, strength, concentration, self-confidence and mental calm.

Iyengar Yoga is a dynamic form of exercise that strengthens and invigorates the body. Through alignment, timing and sequencing, it makes the body fit, the mind alert, whilst pacifying the brain.

Iyengar Yoga Devon offers Iyengar Yoga classes for beginner and intermediate level students in Exeter, Torquay, Totnes and Plymouth in local Sports Centers and Village Halls. More advanced courses for improvers, individual tuition, and yoga for sports people are also available.

The classes are taught by Gavin Tilstone who has been practicing Iyengar Yoga since 1995 and teaching since 2007. Gavin holds the Introductory 1 & 2 and Intermediate Junior Levels 1, 2 & 3 teaching certificates awarded by Iyengar Yoga Association (UK). He continues to train in the U.K. with pupils of BKS Iyengar and in India under the guidance of the Iyengar family.
